Shopmobility -
Special service helping people move easily around town & shops

What is Shopmobility?
Shopmobility provides manual and powered vehicles [either scooters or chairs] for use in the town. Volunteers run the service and a small charge is made to cover administration expenses.

Who can use Shopmobility?
Anyone who is experiencing mobility problems, whether because of an accident, temporary disability, permanent disability, of any age. The service is available to residents and visitors.

What happens on your first visit?
The service is available at the Bus Station by the Gosport Ferry. You will be welcomed by one of our volunteers and asked to complete a short form. Please bring with you a means of identification and all information provided will be treated in confidence. By joining as a member you will be able to obtain a reduction on the small charge.

Currently the membership is £3 per annum Session charges [either am or pm]: £1.50 for members £2.50 for non-members

All vehicles are easy to use and instructions will be given before you set out.

What happens if you meet a problem?
Shops and other outlets throughout the town will have our telephone number [023 9250 2692] so that we can provide advice and assistance when it is required.

When is Shopmobility available?
Shopmobility is available from April to Christmas each year and the service is open:

9.30am to 3.30pm Tuesday - Thursday - Friday - Saturday Other sessions may be arranged for special events and Christmas shopping

How do I join?
You can either call into the Bus Station or call us on 023 9250 2692 to arrange your first outing.
