Gosport Volunteer Centre

"Matching volunteers with Local Community Groups needing support" - The centre is here to help whether you need help deciding on becoming a volunteer, assistance finding volunteers, advice on Good Practice or Information on training appropriate to voluntary groups.

The Volunteer Centre

Using the Gosport Volunteer Centre to find out about volunteering is a step in between wanting to undertake voluntary work & making a full commitment. We are experts at helping people to decide what they would like to do, how much time they can spare & how they would like to start.

You will be part of a team

  • We will pay out of pocket expenses
  • As much or as little time as you can spare
  • Safe and insured as a volunteer
  • Equal opportunities & Volunteers Rights - we do not discriminate on grounds of ability, age, race, gender, sexuality or faith
  • We will value your help, support your activities and hope you have fun!

Need

What would you like to do now?
If you would like to find out more, with no obligation, we would be pleased to hear from you. We can send you an application form and details of current volunteer vacancies so you can have a closer look at what is involved. You could make an appointment to see Nicky Staveley, here at the office on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Alternatively, if you work full time Nicky would be pleased to arrange to see you at a time of your choice.

Volunteering is enjoyable, and by completing the form and talking to Nicky, we will be able to offer you the best possible choices of opportunities in the community. Such work is of great importance, and you may be providing services for people who are vulnerable and frail. We always take up two references and carry out police checking procedures for all our volunteers.
